A delegation from Yayasan Al-Sultan Abdullah (YASA) made a courtesy visit and working visit to Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) last Tuesday with the aim of strengthening ties with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs), Lt. Col. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Ziad bin Sulaiman, as well as discussing collaborative plans between both parties.

The courtesy visit was warmly received by Lt. Col. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Ziad bin Sulaiman, who also chaired the discussion between the two parties. The visiting delegation was led by YASA General Manager, Tuan Haji Mohd Fakhrul Islam Juhali, and accompanied by the Chief Executive Officer of Gading Sari Holdings Sdn Bhd, Y.H. Dato’ Ahmad Najmi Abdul Razak.

This visit served to continue discussions regarding the proposed strategic academic collaboration between both institutions, including sponsorship opportunities for UMPSA students to pursue studies at Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI). Discussions also included exploring academic cooperation opportunities with MBZ University for Humanities in suitable fields.

During the visit, Dato’ Ahmad Najmi Abdul Razak and Tuan Haji Mohd Fakhrul Islam Juhali were also taken on a tour of the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology (FTKMA), the Advanced TVET Centre, and the Faculty of Computing (FKom) to view UMPSA’s teaching and learning facilities. Accompanying them on the tour were the Dean of FTKMA, Professor Dr. Mahadzir Ishak @ Muhammad, Director of the Advanced TVET Centre, Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Shahrir Mohd Sani, Deputy Dean of Academic and Student Affairs of FKom, Ts. Dr. Junaida Sulaiman, as well as several other UMPSA officials.
