
Kuala Lumpur: In conjunction with the 90th Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) Day today, His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah prays that the MAF will continue to be a respected and honoured force on the international stage.
As the supreme commander of the MAF, His Majesty highly values and expresses deep appreciation for the service, dedication, and sacrifices of all current and former members of the MAF in protecting the nation’s sovereignty and security.
“His Majesty extends heartfelt wishes for a Happy 90th Malaysian Armed Forces Day to all members of the armed forces, veterans, and those who have served with the MAF.
“His Majesty also conveys the highest appreciation to the families of fallen MAF heroes who lost their lives while serving to defend the sovereignty and security of the country,” said the Istana Negara in a Facebook post today.
According to the post, Al-Sultan Abdullah also prayed that their souls be blessed by Allah SWT and placed among the righteous.
“Congratulations and well done,” the post read.
MAF Day is celebrated every 16th of September with this year’s theme being ‘National Sovereignty is a Shared Responsibility.’
