AMG-NEXTGEN MOBILITY PROGRAMME TO LIUZHOU, CHINA 2025: SHAPING GLOBAL LEADERS THROUGH ACADEMIC EXCELENCE

A total of 30 students from Akademi Menara Gading (AMG) participated in the AMG-NEXTGEN: Mobility Programme to Liuzhou, China 2025, held from 9 to 13 June 2025 in Liuzhou, Guangxi Province. This strategic initiative was jointly organised by Yayasan Al-Sultan Abdullah (YASA), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), and Liuzhou Railway Vocational Technical College (LRVTC), guided by the theme “Shaping Global Leaders Through Academic Excellence.”

Accompanying the Malaysian delegation was Yang Berusaha Tuan Haji Mohd Fakhrul Islam bin Juhali, General Manager of YASA and Yang Hormat Profesor Dato’ Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Ziad bin Sulaiman, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International) of UMPSA and Programme Manager of AMG.

Over five days, participants gained invaluable international exposure through a well-curated mix of academic, industrial, and cultural engagements. Highlights of the programme included technical visits to LRVTC’s advanced Railway and New Energy Laboratories, a guided tour of the SAIC-GM-Wuling Electric Vehicle Plant, and expert lectures on railway innovation and sustainable energy technologies.

To enrich cultural understanding, students engaged in meaningful exchange at Liuzhou Ethnic High School, experienced authentic local cuisine, and explored regional customs. They also took part in recreational activities including sports matches and the scenic Liujiang River Night Cruise.

This mobility programme successfully enhanced students’ global perspectives, academic competencies, leadership qualities, and intercultural communication—preparing them to thrive in a globally interconnected future.
